Beyond the Basics: Line Dance to Rock, Pop, and Latin Music!
Designed for Level 1 students who would like a little more of a challenge. Experience with syncopated elements such as shuffles/locks, spatial awareness, and good balance during pivots is important. Level 1 or equivalent line dance experience is required.
Prerequisite: Level 1 or equivalent line dance experience is required.

Easy Level 1: Pop, Rock, and Latin Line Dancing
This is a beginner level class and no dance experience is required. The actual level of the material will vary somewhat by location because some classes have been in session for a period of time and others are just starting. Students may join at any time.
Prerequisite: None

Shoe Policy: Carry with you some non-marking, flat, flexible, closed-toe/heel/instep shoes that slide easily on the floor but provide sufficient traction to be safe when turning. Please plan to change into your dance shoes upon arrival. This helps Barnstable Senior Center keep their flooring clean and in great shape for everyone to enjoy. Not permitted in class: sandals, mules/slides/clogs, platforms, slingbacks, heels. Please make sure your shoes have some means of staying on your foot (tie or strap). Floor conditions vary from classroom to classroom and can be affected by humidity and other factors. Some students carry a dance bag with more than one type of shoe so they can match their choice of shoes to the current floor conditions.

Weather Cancellations
All Barnstable Senior Center programs are cancelled if the Barnstable Schools are closed.
If there is a two hour delay, classes with a start time that falls within the two-hour period are canceled.
Classes with a start time that falls after the two-hour period are held on schedule.
